Intralogistics Specialists Flexus and Safelog Establish Partnership

Creating Synergies for New Perspectives – Flexus AG and SAFELOG GmbH will cooperate in the future to further optimize and advance the intralogistical processes of their customers. The AGVs (automated guided vehicles) from Safelog will be integrated into the Flexus AGV control system in SAP via plug&play.

As an SAP Silver Partner, Flexus offers extensive software products, certified SAP add-ons, and consulting services. These are based on long-standing experience in mobile data collection and the implementation of forklift and transport control systems.

Optimization of Trips

The AGV Connect package enables direct connection and optimization of trips from SAP. Depending on the integration package used, orders can be handed over, or topics such as disruption management, map management, and comprehensive optimization, such as hybrid traffic with forklifts, trains, and AGVs, can be coordinated directly from SAP. The entire material flow can thus be transparently represented in SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA.

“Many intralogistics processes can be optimized through the interplay between conventional industrial trucks like forklifts or trains and automated guided vehicles. The implementation of all process participants into a higher-level control is the basis for coordinating various devices and allows for real-time monitoring of device utilization or flexible route planning,” explains Maximilian Kalk, Project Manager, SAFELOG GmbH. “The FLEXUS transport control system integrates our AGVs into an SAP environment based on the VDA 5050 interface. The possibilities that arise from this mean a significant added value for our customers in terms of flexibility and process optimization.”
