Oct 28, 2021 at 11:52 AMFrom early February 2022, Rhenus is represented in Norway. By opening an office in Oslo, the internationally active logistics service provider strengthens its presence in Scandinavia. For the logistics provider, this new location is the first in Norway, and for Rhenus Air & Ocean, it is the first in Scandinavia.
(Holzwickede/Oslo) The expansion of the existing global network is particularly highlighted by the close connectivity with the Rhenus Air & Ocean locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
“The opening of the new location in Norway is a significant strategic step for the Rhenus Group and an expansion into new markets. It strengthens our presence in the Nordic countries and brings us even closer to our customers,” explains Frank Roderkerk, Managing Director Northern and Western Europe, Rhenus Air & Ocean.
The new location offers, in addition to air and sea freight, further services such as the supply of offshore platforms, project logistics, and logistical support in the areas of health, mining, aid services, renewable energies, and perishable goods.
Ideal conditions in Oslo
Oslo offers Rhenus ideal conditions for the new location. A well-developed infrastructure with efficient transport means and routes, easy accessibility, and new, modern buildings provide excellent working conditions for the dynamic team in Norway. “Rhenus Air & Ocean is currently not represented in Scandinavia and therefore intends to strengthen its presence in the Norwegian market by establishing a branch in Oslo, the capital and economic metropolis of the country,” emphasizes Bent Thomasen, Managing Director Rhenus Norway.
