JITpay GmbH presents itself at the Logistics Summit

JITpay, the IT and payment service provider for logistics, took the opportunity to present itself at the 2nd Logistics Summit in Berlin on October 2nd and once again meet customers and partners in person. Managing Director Dr. Daniel Steinke participated as a speaker in the panel “Road Freight Innovation” and Thomas Richter, Head of Partner Management, gave a presentation on payment processes in transport management systems..

(Braunschweig/Berlin) The anticipation was also great at JITpay GmbH to meet with customers and partners again. The Logistics Summit, originally planned in Hamburg but relocated to Berlin at short notice due to different coronavirus regulations, provided a good opportunity for this. JITpay appeared with several people to engage in discussions on a broad front.

One of the focal points of the appearance at the fantastic event location “Station” was the collaboration with the FreightTech company TIMOCOM. Therefore, it was no coincidence that the booths of the two partners were placed directly next to each other. Since mid-April 2021, the two companies have been cooperating. Customers of the TIMOCOM platform “Smart Logistics System” can now process their payments through JITpay. The service, initially offered in Germany, will be expanded to other countries in Europe later this year. Both sides are very satisfied with the progress of the collaboration so far.

Road Freight Innovation

In a panel titled “Road Freight Innovation,” moderated by Philip John Mordecai (Orbit), Dr. Daniel Steinke (JITpay), Christian Bockelt (DB Schenker), Michael Gschwandtner, and Andreas Karanas (Carrypicker) discussed industry megatrends in road transport. Except for Karanas, all speakers agreed that despite all digitalization, physical transport and assets play the main role, regardless of how road transport develops. Established freight forwarders countered that many digital innovations are indeed being introduced in their operations.

Integration of Payment Processes in Transport Management Systems

Thomas Richter

Thomas Richter, Head of Partner Management, gave a presentation on the topic: “Integration of JITpay™ Payment Processes in Transport Management Systems and Digital Platforms” during another appearance by JITpay. He showcased the various possibilities for integrating JITpay to process payment orders online, whether through logistics platforms, transport management, or ERP systems.

Successful Event

JITpay looks back on a successful participation at the Logistics Summit. “We were able to have many interesting conversations, and it was nice that people could once again meet in person,” summarizes Dr. Daniel Steinke about the event. The event location “Station” in Berlin-Kreuzberg provided an ideal setting for this. The former post railway station for parcel traffic offered an ideal environment for discussions, encounters, and cozy gatherings in the evening, where the professional exchanges came to a close.
