Wurfel Polska Transport Company Relies on Its Own Fleet
Oct 1, 2021 at 3:20 PMHarald Jony (39) will take over as the sole managing director of cargoe GmbH & Co. KG, specializing in value-added and gross logistics, effective October 1. He succeeds Jan Grubert and Reiner Holzmann, who will take on other roles. The new appointment is part of a reorganization aimed at naming a dedicated managing director for Austria.
(Salzburg) While the previous dual leadership of cargoe was responsible for both the Austrian and German markets, Jony will focus on Austria, particularly on further expanding value-added logistics. With the same focus, Grubert will take over the activities in Germany, while Holzmann will support the management as an advisor.
Cargoe is a subsidiary of the Melo Group, which emphasizes the growing importance of value-added logistics as a driver of growth in Austria and Germany through this restructuring. In both markets, the offerings are continuously being expanded to reach additional customer groups.
Activities in Austria
Harald Jony’s previous career has taken him since 2003 through ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG and Rail Cargo Logistics – Austria GmbH to WienCont Container Terminal GmbH. Most recently, he was responsible as managing director for operations, sales, personnel, and IT at WienCont. There, he achieved a turnaround to a sustainably positive result within just two years. “I always want to make an impact in companies, which is why the new challenge at cargoe with its ambitious growth targets is very appealing to me,” explains Jony.
“We are very pleased that we were able to win Harald Jony as the sole managing director of cargoe and are convinced that he will further expand our activities in Austria with clear focus and responsibilities,” emphasizes Frank Haiges, managing director of Melo Group GmbH & Co. KG, the holding company of the Melo Group.
