Aug 4, 2021 at 4:54 PMA year ago, the Federal Association of Parcel and Express Logistics (BIEK) and its member companies introduced a new procedure that ensures compliance with social security regulations among partners in the parcel industry. This is documented with the certification seal ‘PQ KEP’.
(Berlin) Since then, transport companies can obtain the legally secure certification seal ‘PQ KEP’ from the established prequalification body Zertifizierung Bau GmbH. The success of the procedure is impressive: around a thousand companies have been prequalified so far.
“The high number of prequalified partners of our member companies shows that the procedure has established itself in the parcel industry and works well,” says BIEK Chairman Marten Bosselmann. Transport companies operating on behalf of parcel services can legally demonstrate that they meet the high social and labor standards required by law and expected by parcel services. The certification seal thus confirms the high quality standards of the industry and makes them transparent.
Emphasizing Fair Working Conditions
“Our member companies place great importance on fair working conditions, ensuring high social standards, and providing a good working environment,” emphasizes Marten Bosselmann. “The ongoing growth in parcel shipments also suggests an increased demand for suitable employees in the coming years. Therefore, we are even more pleased that we can make jobs in our industry more attractive with the certification seal.”
