Jul 27, 2021 at 6:31 PMeFrexx GmbH presents new features of its namesake custom cloud platform. Unlike traditional freight exchanges, the software-as-a-service solution is specifically tailored for shippers and carriers. With eFrexx, users can save an average of 30 percent on their freight costs. The platform allows for digital processing of tenders for sea, air, truck, and rail transport.
(Ratingen) As part of the update, the contracting area has been revised. Additionally, a new, more intuitive user interface ensures more efficient workflows. With the improved data export, even more precise analyses are possible. Furthermore, the solution is multilingual and supports a multilingual interface.
“The international market for transport services is highly fragmented. Therefore, it is difficult for shippers to obtain the best value for money. A large part of the processes is still analog. This is exactly where eFrexx comes in,” says Achim Quaken, founder and managing director of eFrexx GmbH. Unlike platforms operated by freight forwarders or open freight exchanges, the digital supply chain solution is completely independent. “eFrexx is the only digital cloud solution that leaves the shipper with full process control while automatically negotiating the best transport conditions for them,” says Quaken. The solution offers all common transport modes: sea, air, truck, and rail transport.
No Additional Investments in Hardware
For the user, no additional investments in hardware or IT infrastructure are necessary. The software company provides the tender platform in the desired corporate design of the customer. Ultimately, the shipper decides which carriers have access. “This way, they always retain full control. Unreliable offers and visibility of competitors are excluded,” says Quaken. With the cloud software, it is possible to create transport tenders within minutes. eFrexx automatically handles all communication with the carriers. A dashboard then displays all offers and relevant information at a glance. Histories and templates allow for the reuse of previously conducted transports. “With the solution, our customers save an average of 30 percent on their freight costs. Shippers who tender electronically even achieve 80 percent savings on process costs,” says Quaken.
User Interface Further Revised
With the current update, the eFrexx interface has been revised again and made more intuitive. Shippers are guided step by step through the transport request process. “We receive consistently positive feedback from our customers regarding usability. Hardly any training is needed; after just one hour, they can work completely independently with the software,” says Quaken. Additionally, the contracting tenders have been improved and structured more flexibly. Furthermore, the Excel export has also been expanded. Thus, outputting data to other systems and comfortable analysis as well as meaningful reporting are easily possible.
Since its founding in 2019, the company has experienced very positive and rapid development in the market despite the Corona crisis. “The logistics industry is ready for digital solutions, and we want to further fuel this development,” says Quaken. The young start-up continues on a growth path and pursues an international strategy. Just in April, the company opened an office in Paris. Recently, eFrexx has gained its first customers in Malaysia and the USA. Against this background, the cloud platform can be installed in multiple languages.
