In particular, the logistics service provider aims to engage more in the region regarding freight forwarding services, transport chains, and services through the Croatian ports of Rijeka and Ploče.

With this acquisition, the logistics service provider strengthens its presence in the Balkans and is now represented for the first time with its own locations in Croatia. Furthermore, Rhenus is already active in Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Serbia.

This long-standing knowledge of local customers and business partners connects Rhenus with its own global network, which is sensibly expanded through the acquisition,” emphasizes Patrick Schäffer, spokesperson for the management of Rhenus Commodity Logistics.
Locations in Croatia and Serbia
The company Log Adria, founded in 2014, offers sea freight and forwarding services at its headquarters in the Croatian port city of Rijeka. Additionally, it has a sea freight branch in Ploče in the south of the country, as well as air freight locations in the capital Zagreb and in the Serbian capital Belgrade.
