Jul 5, 2021 at 5:24 PMThe globally operating full-service provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has acquired the night express provider ‘Innight Express’, based in Hungary and Romania. This allows Hellmann to tap into an important part of the Central and Eastern European market as part of its expansion strategy in the night express services segment.
(Osnabrück) The two shareholders of Innight Express, Tamás Aradi and Zoltán Csombok, will continue to serve as Managing Directors, ensuring that the operational business continues seamlessly and that business relationships with all customers are maintained as before.
Since its founding in 2004 in Törökbálint, Hungary – 15 kilometers west of Budapest – Innight Express has developed into a specialist in night express services, primarily serving the automotive and agricultural industries. For eight years, the company has also been successfully represented in the Romanian market with its subsidiary Innight Romania Express in Ciorogârla.
Acquisition Enables Access to Two Emerging Markets
“With the expansion of our night express offerings towards Eastern Europe, we are taking another consistent step in our expansion strategy, which we initiated earlier this year with the acquisition of Hellmann East Europe and the joint venture of Rhenus & Hellmann,” says Jörg Herwig, Chief Operating Officer Road & Rail Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
“The acquisition of Innight Express gives us access to two attractive emerging countries in the Eastern European night express market. We are pleased that we can take over all 74 employees as part of the acquisition of Innight Express,” adds Willfried Hesselmann, Chief Operating Officer CEP, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
“As part of the global Hellmann FAMILY, we want to contribute to the overall success of the company and further expand and sustainably strengthen our presence in the Eastern European market,” say Tamás Aradi and Zoltán Csombok, Managing Directors CEP RO/HU.
