The country on the northern shore of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov is the second largest country in Europe by area. It is located in a strategically important geographical position between the European Union and Russia.
(Hamburg/Odessa) Various natural resources and the world’s largest agricultural production make Ukraine an attractive export market for Hapag-Lloyd. The country is also an important import market, for example for electronics, machinery, and consumer goods. Additionally, some of the largest multinational companies in the world are based in Ukraine – this opens up many opportunities for shipping companies like Hapag-Lloyd.
“The country’s economic growth is impressive, and many Ukrainian customers already trust the services of Hapag-Lloyd. With the opening of our new office in the country, we acknowledge the excellent business development and the enormous opportunities we see in this market,” says Juan Pablo Richards, Senior Managing Director Region South Europe of Hapag-Lloyd.
The new office is located in Odessa. 21 employees will be employed there.
