(Hamburg/Kaltenkirchen) Panattoni, the leading project developer for industrial and logistics properties in Europe, announces the partial rental of the Panattoni Park Hamburg North in Kaltenkirchen/Nützen, Schleswig-Holstein. The online furniture retailer riess-ambiente.de GmbH is taking a total area of approximately 43,000 sqm, distributed over two halls, and uses this for the storage of all kinds of furniture. With the phased move-in starting in August 2021 into the logistics park, the company is relocating its headquarters to Nützen and is committing long-term to the region.
In the first hall, riess-ambiente.de GmbH has approximately 14,200 sqm of total space available, consisting of about 12,100 sqm of logistics space, 677 sqm of office space, and 1,430 sqm of mezzanine space, while the other hall has a total area of approximately 28,800 sqm. This is divided into about 21,100 sqm of logistics space, 2,600 sqm of office space, and 5,100 sqm of mezzanine space, and features an office extension. Both halls will be generously equipped with mezzanine space, and the areas for furniture storage will be fully and efficiently utilized.
Good connections in various directions
Panattoni is developing the logistics park Hamburg North without pre-letting on a plot of 142,000 sqm. The property is located about 40 km from the Hanseatic city of Hamburg and 60 km from Kiel and has excellent connections to the federal motorways A7, A1, and A21. The Elbtunnel and Hamburg Airport are 36 km and 32 km away from the property, respectively, and public transport connections are within walking distance.
A total of five logistics halls with seven units and a total usable area of approximately 56,600 sqm will be built in two construction phases. The building height is 10 m UKB, and the floor load is 5 t/sqm. Thanks to the flexible divisibility of the spaces, they can be adapted to the individual needs of future users, allowing for active participation in the design. As part of a sustainable and energy-efficient construction method, the entire property complex will be built according to the DGNB Gold certificate and will meet the high-quality standards of Panattoni.
Community of Nützen welcomes new settlement
“We warmly welcome the settlement of the company riess-ambiente.de GmbH and hope for further strengthening of our economic location,” says Klaus Brakel, Mayor of the community of Nützen.
“The Panattoni Park Hamburg North is a very important project for us and the community of Nützen. We are even more pleased about the early rental of two of the five halls by a well-known company like riess-ambiente.de GmbH. We hope that our anchor tenant feels comfortable on site and can optimally advance its further expansion plans,” says Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni.
Nicolas Riess, Managing Director of riess-ambiente.de GmbH, comments on the relocation of the headquarters to Nützen as follows: “To accommodate the dynamic growth of our company, we have decided to take the significant step of settling in the north of Hamburg. The decisive factors were the good connections and the flexible usability of the halls.”
Completion by August 2021
Panattoni dates the completion of the second construction phase to August 2021. The development of the third construction phase is expected to be completed in April 2022. A total of approximately 23,100 sqm of usable space is still available for potential tenants, distributed over three halls.
