Jun 17, 2021 at 5:02 PMThe globally active full-service provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics opens its first Direct Load branch in France in Rennes. This marks the company’s dynamic growth in the French market and positions it nationwide with an expanded product portfolio.
(Osnabrück/Rennes) After being active in the French market for 30 years, Hellmann opened its first French branch near Paris in September 2019 and has since grown steadily. The logistics service provider has successfully expanded its network from Strasbourg to Nantes, Lyon, and Marseille. Until now, the focus has primarily been on air and sea freight services as well as customs clearance in the Industrial Solutions sectors of Automotive, Fashion, and Healthcare. With the new location in Rennes and the associated market launch of the Direct Load product segment, Hellmann is becoming even more flexible in France and offers solutions to both local and multinational customers with uniform country- and product-specific quality standards. Looking ahead, the full-service provider plans to open additional branches in France and expand the Direct Load network across Europe.
“The expansion in France is of enormous importance for the strategic development of our company. By expanding our product portfolio and opening additional branches, we strengthen our presence in one of the largest markets in Europe and simultaneously create the fundamental prerequisites for further transnational growth as a local player with a global presence,” says Reiner Heiken, Chief Executive Officer, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
France is increasingly becoming the backbone of European activities
“With our strong team and a diverse product portfolio, we want to continue our growth trajectory in France and thus also excite new customers with our quality and reliability,” adds Jens Tarnowski, Regional CEO Europe, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. “The current development shows that France is increasingly becoming the backbone of our European activities. In doing so, we serve our multinational customer portfolio and also enable local French customers of all sizes to access Hellmann’s global services,” Tarnowski continues.
“The expansion of the Europe-wide Direct Load business is a central pillar of our growth strategy in the Road sector. The opening of the branch in Rennes is a crucial milestone in this context, as we will gradually expand the segment in France and neighboring countries from here and make the most of the market potential,” says Jörg Herwig, Chief Operating Officer Road & Rail, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
