The search is on for the most innovative forwarder who has excelled in digital excellence during pandemic times.
(Bratislava) Increasing technological innovations such as digitization and automation are transforming the entire supply chain and logistics industry. Logistics, which has been known for its heavy reliance on manual processes, is one of the most affected sectors when it comes to implementing cutting-edge solutions. Understanding the importance of logistics innovations is a prerequisite for the continued success and expansion of forwarding companies, and therefore the WOF fair aims to honor those who think ahead and look towards a smarter and greener future.
Voting will take place in two categories:
- Multinational Smart Freight Forwarder Award
- Regional Smart Freight Forwarder Award
It will be evaluated how well the forwarders understood the urgency of addressing new challenges during the pandemic, what additional procedures were implemented to optimize their operations, how they adapted to constantly changing regulations, and how they enhanced the customer experience.
General criteria include:
- Transparency
- Real-time supply chain transparency
- Warehouse automation
- Sustainability
- Advanced analytics
- Data standards
- Freight and route optimization
Voters automatically enter the competition for a fantastic all-inclusive weekend at a 4-star wellness hotel in the heart of the Fatra Mountains in Slovakia. The award will be presented to the lucky winner on October 7, 2021, during the WOF Awards Gala, along with the winner in the Smart Freight Forwarder category.
