GLS Germany Launches Extension for Magento 2 Shop System

The new extension from the internationally operating parcel service provider GLS for the Magento 2 shop system is called ‘GLS Shipping’. This extension is the latest component of its solutions for a comfortable and efficient online trade – for both shippers and recipients. The GLS extension is developed and continuously supported by Netresearch.

(Neuenstein) Magento is one of the most widely used shop systems in the world. It can be extended through so-called extensions. GLS offers shippers in Germany a Magento 2 extension with GLS Shipping, which makes all important functions related to shipping available in Magento 2. After the straightforward integration into their own Magento environment, merchants can prepare one or more orders for shipping with GLS with just a few clicks and select optional services. Cancellations of already placed orders can also be easily executed. Merchants always have an overview of the status of all packages.

Among the additional services available are guaranteed next-day delivery, delivery with notification, or the selection of a desired drop-off location. These services can be activated by shippers for direct booking for customers during the ordering process. Additionally, GLS Shipping also enables cash on delivery payments, including payment processing. Furthermore, merchants can utilize the so-called ‘Return Label Enclosure’. Customers receive the label for a possible return with the outgoing package.
