Apr 26, 2021 at 4:14 PMSascha Bengel, previously Team Leader of Project Logistics at the Berlin location, has taken over the leadership of the Western Hemisphere (SW) division at VTG Project Logistics in the Silk Road & Project Logistics business unit as of April 1, 2021. He succeeds Klaus Lutze, who will retire at the end of the year.
(Hamburg) In his new position, Sascha Bengel is particularly focused on strengthening networking with other areas of VTG. “The upcoming transformation of our industry towards eLogistics requires greater transparency across the entire supply chain, for example through modern intermodal tracking platforms. To be prepared for this, we need to network more effectively and better utilize existing synergies,” says Bengel.
Sascha Bengel has around 15 years of professional experience in the logistics sector. From 2006 to 2013, he was responsible for the special transport division at Kühne + Nagel Rail Chemnitz and transitioned to the new company VTG Rail Logistics in 2013 as part of the joint venture between VTG and Kühne + Nagel. Bengel succeeds Klaus Lutze, who will continue to support the project business until the end of the year and then retire at his own request.
