It will now take place from October 6 to 8, 2021. Today also marks the start of the opportunity to vote online for the ‘Port of Future’ Awards. The winners will be honored on October 7 during the fair.
(Bratislava) Despite the Corona pandemic, there is a chance that the new fair WOF Expo 2021 in Bratislava will be held as a physical event. The B2B fair was originally set to begin on September 8. Now, the fair management has decided to postpone the opening by about a month.
The WOF Expo 2021 provides a platform for logistics in the CEE countries. This region offers good economic prospects, even for logistics. Bratislava is conveniently located near the cities of Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.
The WOF Expo 2021 will welcome international participants from over 44 countries. It will connect shippers, retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers with logistics service providers to maximize their networks and operations, clarify the prospects of future technologies, streamline processes, and establish a flexible and sustainable supply chain after a difficult pandemic period.
Online Voting for the ‘Port of the Future’ Award Opened
Various awards will be presented at the fair to recognize the achievements of the industry.
There are 9 WOF awards, for which the winners will be determined by voting. The following awards will be presented:
“Port of the Future” / “AirCargo Excellence” / “Smart Freight Forwarder” / “Last Mile Expert” / “GreenImpact” / “Start-Up Hero” / “Innovation of the Year” / “Shipping Line Efficiency” and “Speedy Flow Airport”.
The winners will be honored at the gala award ceremony on October 7, 2021, at the Expo in Bratislava, where they will have the opportunity to communicate their achievements and position themselves as leading players on an international platform.
For the ‘Port of the Future’ Award 2021, which aims to recognize the most important ports for the CEE region, the eight finalists that are up for election have already been determined. New technologies are developing at an immense speed, ports are accelerating the digitalization process, and developing strategies to improve sustainability, which is also a crucial aspect for the development of cities. The ‘Port of the Future Award’ allows ports to showcase the progress they are making and how they contribute to the better development of their regions.
It is not just about cargo volume as an important performance indicator; rather, each finalist has been selected for outstanding logistics achievements with groundbreaking innovations, striving for sustainability and efficiency.
