Visitors can watch videos and various informational materials at the individual stands and directly contact the exhibitors via live chat.
“With the first virtual job fair, we offer everyone interested in logistics a contemporary opportunity to get to know the growing industry in Central Germany with many career opportunities. For our members, it is particularly important right now to be able to reach future employees and young talent digitally,” says Toralf Weiße, Chairman of the Logistics Network Central Germany.
In addition to job and training offers in classic logistics professions such as freight forwarding and logistics services clerk or warehouse logistics specialist and professional driver, information on further education and qualification opportunities will also be provided.
Logistics Network Central Germany e.V.
Founded in 2008, the Logistics Network Leipzig-Halle e.V. has been named Logistics Network Central Germany e.V. since 2018 due to its expanded operational radius. It unites numerous “classic” logistics service providers as well as companies from the field of logistics-related services, personnel and real estate industries, local authorities such as the cities of Leipzig and Halle, regional chambers of commerce and industry, and research and educational institutions, including eight universities. Since 2016, the network has had regional offices in Dresden and Chemnitz.
The network represents the federal states of Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt in the Working Group Logistics Initiatives Germany. Among the central tasks of the network are, in addition to innovation, personnel and business development, the positioning of the logistics region Central Germany as an established European gateway and central distribution location with fast connections, particularly to Eastern European and East Asian markets, to which cooperation with the Port of Hamburg and the logistics region Sassnitz-Mukran in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern significantly contributes.
