Apr 7, 2021 at 5:36 PMKnut Sander, long-time board member of the ShortSeaShipping Inland Waterway Promotion Center (spc) and chairman of the sponsoring association for six years, will hand over the position to Wolfgang Nowak in April. Heiko Loroff will be the deputy.
(Bonn/Hamburg) At the recently held board meeting, the board agreed on Wolfgang Nowak as the interim chairman and Heiko Loroff as the representative. Both have also been long-time board members.
“I have enjoyed serving as the chairman of the spc sponsoring association for six years. However, due to the strong expansion of the company I represent, Robert Kukla GmbH, I can no longer continue in this role for time reasons. For example, we recently opened branches in Lisbon and Düsseldorf, which further binds my time. Of course, Robert Kukla GmbH will remain a committed member of spc,” assures Knut Sander.
“I am very pleased with the trust placed in me and the task of temporarily taking over the chairmanship of the sponsoring association. The spc should continue to be a vibrant network, and I am very happy to actively contribute. Together with Heiko Loroff, I have been on the board for several years and am well-prepared for this task,” explains Wolfgang Nowak. “On behalf of the board and the spc team, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Knut Sander for his many years of voluntary commitment on the board,” Nowak adds.
Wolfgang Nowak works at HGK Shipping as Vice President Commercial, and Heiko Loroff serves as Managing Director of the Sächsische Binnenhäfen Oberelbe GmbH.
