The new facility includes 3,000 m2 of transshipment area, 4,500 m2 of logistics space, and 1,200 m2 of office space. Kenzingen replaces the previous facility in Freiburg.
(Cologne/Freiburg i. Br.) Since March 22, 2021, the operational, freight forwarding, and logistics activities of Emons Freight Forwarding have taken place in the new freight forwarding facility in Kenzingen. Kenzingen replaces the previous facility in Freiburg. 3,000 m² of transshipment area and 42 gates are available for general cargo traffic in the Freiburg region. Additionally, there are 1,210 m² of office space. The state-of-the-art facility supports efficient process flows in the areas of freight forwarding, transport, and logistics safely and reliably, providing employees with comfortable and appealing workplaces.
Solutions for Warehouse Logistics
In addition, Emons Logistics offers excellent solutions for warehouse logistics, including complete supply chain management, with the 12.5 m high logistics hall covering 4,500 m².
The energy needs of the branch are met by a photovoltaic system on the roof and a heat pump, which aligns with Emons’ commitment to sustainability. The location is conveniently situated with direct access to the A5, minimizing the impact on urban and rural infrastructure. The trees recently planted at the site will grow, just like the logistics services at Emons. That is for sure!
