Jan 19, 2021 at 6:42 PMBVL.digital is launching its new training program “Digital Logistics” in cooperation with the XU Group. A comprehensive training offer has been developed to help employees in the logistics sector advance digitally. The program is online and not bound to a specific location or time. (Bremen) The current challenges in logistics are enormous: rapid growth in eCommerce, ambitious climate policy goals, and keeping pace in the international competition of the platform economy. A key success factor for companies is motivated and well-trained employees. For this reason, BVL.digital and the XU Group have joined forces to develop a comprehensive training offer that enables employees in the logistics sector to build digital skills independently of location and time.
Logistics is a Success Factor of the E-Commerce Boom
“Logistics, with its three million employees in Germany, is a driving force of the successful export economy and a success factor of the eCommerce boom. We are therefore very pleased to contribute to the further digitalization of this economic sector with our educational offer,” says Prof. Dr. Christopher Jahns, founder and managing director of the XU Group and former board member of BVL.
The course “Digital Logistics” comprises around 120 hours and is divided into 40 learning units. Participants will familiarize themselves with both the digital toolbox of logistics and the individual functional areas of the field. Special emphasis is placed on the practical applicability of digital technologies. Therefore, the provision of practical examples from digital logistics is a focus. All learning units are supported by formats such as videos, webinars, and podcasts, as well as interactive control questions. In regularly held live sessions, participants can also exchange ideas directly with their instructors. The qualification can be completed in addition to the course certificate with the acquisition of the XU LinkedIn Nano Degree “Digital Logistics”. The cooperation with LinkedIn also provides all participants access to the LinkedIn Learning training offer and a free twelve-month premium membership for the business network LinkedIn.
Twelve-Month BVL Membership Included
For logistics professionals who want to take off digitally with the program, a twelve-month BVL membership is also included, providing access to numerous physical or virtual BVL events to network with colleagues across disciplines, exchange experiences, or learn about new career opportunities.
“Our course is aimed at all logistics professionals who have recognized that digital skills are an important prerequisite for the next career step. The time- and location-independent learning offers a high degree of flexibility: whether after work, on weekends, or during parental leave, there is always time for a learning unit when you want it,” says Dr. Christian Grotemeier, managing director of BVL.digital GmbH.
The training “Digital Logistics” is certified by TÜV Nord AZAV and is funded up to 100 percent by the Federal Employment Agency.
