(Bruchsal) The Hegelmann Group is expanding into the USA. The international transport and logistics company is starting its operations in North America as Hegelmann USA. The headquarters in Chicago will begin providing transport and logistics services at the beginning of January next year. An investment of around ten million euros is planned for the growth of the new US branch in the first three years. Hegelmann plans to explore further North and Central American markets in the future, with Canada being the first target. The international growth is set to continue.
In the first year, at least 15 new jobs are to be created in the USA. The fleet will initially consist of ten standard trucks. Later, the fleet is to be expanded with LNG or electric trucks. “We had already considered expanding into the USA at the end of 2019. We want to become a global organization that offers its services on the European, North American, and Asian continents.
Hegelmann Already Well-Connected in the USA
We believe that through hard and honest work, we can become a successful, ambitious, and steadily growing player in the US and North American market,” explains Andrew Jasinskas, who is responsible for the US expansion as Head of Business Development at Hegelmann Group.
Hegelmann already has connections to the US market. “We offer logistics services for our American partners in Europe and are therefore already well-connected,” says Jasinskas. Hegelmann plans to invest around two million euros in strategic growth and operations in the first year of expansion. An additional eight million euros are to follow in the second and third years. Planned purchases include “Dry Van” trailers, thermo trailers, platforms, silos, and car carrier trailers. “We want to offer the same range of services in the USA very quickly as we do in Europe. We are a global and powerful company,” concludes Jasinskas.
