(Berlin) – The cargo bike manufacturer citkar has started series production of the Loadster cargo bike in October 2020. The production facility in Berlin-Marzahn currently has a monthly capacity of 160 vehicles, which can be scaled up. This positions citkar as a reliable and innovative manufacturer that can serve its customers in the rapidly growing cargo bike segment with three models, each available in two configurations (closed box or flatbed).
Managing Director Jonas Kremer is very satisfied with the current situation: “After initial supply bottlenecks from our suppliers caused by Covid-19, we were able to start series production in October. The demand for fully covered cargo bikes like the Loadster is steadily increasing. As part of the start of series production, citkar introduced its first premium partner in North Rhine-Westphalia, Lastenrad Schneider. At the “Demo Day” in Cologne, the citkar team presented the Loadster Life at the cargo bike specialist Schneider and showcased the four-wheeled utility vehicle in detail.
