Oct 17, 2020 at 10:30 AMThe TGW Logistics Group GmbH is building a powerful connection of Automated Small Parts Warehouse (AKL) and Commissioner Hub Beams for the Chinese semiconductor manufacturer Zhongjing Semiconductors near Shanghai. The system is set to go live in mid-2021.
(Marchtrenk) – The TGW solution consists of a four-aisle Automated Small Parts Warehouse (AKL) with Mustang R
stacker cranes and two Commissioner hub beam blocks. The semiconductor wafers are initially automatically retrieved from the Commissioner. They then enter production, where highly complex microelectronic components are created from them. The finished semiconductors are then stored in special containers in the AKL and are shipped from there. Energy-efficient KingDrive® conveyor technology connects the individual functional areas.
Customized System
TGW was able to convince the semiconductor specialist with the high availability and reliability of its intralogistics solution. Thanks to the performance of the Mustang R stacker cranes and a height of 20 meters, the system can also be realized on a particularly compact footprint.
“Together with Zhongjing, we tailored the technical specifications to the needs of the customer and the market,” describes Frank Imkamp, Chief Executive Officer at TGW China. “We appreciate the trust that Zhongjing places in TGW’s intralogistics expertise.”
