After receiving the official approval, DHL Express Israel sent the limited edition of a commemorative coin celebrating the peace agreement to its colleagues in the United Arab Emirates.
(Bonn) – DHL Express contributes to the establishment of trade relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE): Following the recently reached peace agreement, trade between the two countries began on September 15. These developments also strengthen the DHL network by connecting significant hubs in metropolises like Tel Aviv and Dubai.
“At DHL, we firmly believe that globalization and open borders are key to enhancing economic productivity around the world,” says John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express. “With the implementation of the peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, our global DHL network has enabled the rapid establishment of new logistics routes between the two countries. We are convinced that both countries and the entire region will benefit from the growing trade.”
Commemorative Coin as the First Shipment

With a special shipment, DHL became the first logistics company to deliver a product from Israel to the United Arab Emirates. After receiving the official approval, Yair Biton, CEO of DHL Express Israel, sent the limited edition of a commemorative coin celebrating the peace agreement to his colleagues in the United Arab Emirates. The Israeli mint, Israel Coins and Medals Corporation, had minted the coin for this historic occasion.
Yair Biton stated: “Beyond the vast potential that trade between the business communities on both sides offers, the UAE can be the gateway to the Arab world for Israeli companies. Our international network enables our customers new cross-border shipping, true to our mission: ‘Connecting people, improving lives’.”
New Route Strengthens Trade and Commerce
Geoff Walsh, Country Manager of DHL Express UAE, explains: “DHL has always supported the economic initiatives of the UAE government. The opening of our service route between the United Arab Emirates and Israel will further promote trade and commerce between the two countries and invigorate bilateral relations.
