The first markets where the new pallet will be introduced are Benelux, Germany, and Poland. The new pallets will be used in retail and the consumer goods industry.
(Bornheim) LPR-La Palette Rouge, Europe’s specialist in pallet pooling, is expanding its offering with the latest version of its quarter pallet. LPR is already operating in 15 European countries with its 8 branches. Its rental pallet offering includes all common full and half pallets used by the consumer goods industry and retail.
The market trend is clearly moving towards transporting more and more products directly from the manufacturer to the point of sale on display pallets, as this simplifies the handling of products within the supply chain. The 400×600 format was already part of the existing LPR pallet program, but as part of its continuous improvement, LPR insisted on further developing the pallet.
New Pallet is Lighter and 100% Recyclable
The new quarter pallet, the RQP406, is lighter, 100% recyclable, hygienic, and prevents any accumulation of dirt and moisture. Furthermore, this format is ideal for displays in retail stores and for promotional purposes, providing real added value for product and brand presence.
Another feature of this improved quarter pallet is that it is ideal for cross docking and is very stackable. This reduces transport and storage costs by up to 60% and significantly improves efficiency and turnaround times. Optionally, the new quarter pallet is equipped with the so-called QR technology (Barcode Label: Code GS1 128 / GS1 Datamatrix), which allows for tracking and monitoring of the pallets. QR codes are important for inventory management and control of pallets in supply chain management and provide real added value.
The first markets to use the new quarter pallet include Poland, Germany, and Benelux, as it plays an important role in reducing losses and damages between the distribution center and the shelf.
