(Marchtrenk, September 25, 2020) The TGW Logistics Group based in Marchtrenk has successfully completed the financial year 2019/2020 (July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020). The revenue of the internationally operating intralogistics specialist grew from 719 to 835.8 million euros. This allows the company to celebrate a new record in its 50-year history. The number of employees also grew significantly – by more than 250 to 3,667. The growth trend of recent years is thus being sustainably continued.
In the financial year 2019/20, intralogistics specialist TGW recorded order intake with a total volume of 822 million euros – in Europe, the USA, and China. Harald Schröpf, CEO of the TGW Logistics Group, emphasizes: “Many companies commissioned TGW in the past financial year to automate their intralogistics: from Urban Outfitters to Zalando to the Austrian fashion retailer Personalshop. We were able to increase our revenue by more than 16 percent compared to the previous year to 835.8 million euros – a new record in our company history.”
Increase in EBIT and Employee Participation
The EBIT amounts to 37.1 million euros – up from 27.9 million in the previous year. This corresponds to an increase of more than 33 percent. As a foundation company, TGW cannot be sold; successful entrepreneurial action and social responsibility are inextricably linked. Two-thirds of the profit remain in the company and are invested – in employees, infrastructure, and the innovations of tomorrow. This makes TGW a stable business partner and a reliable employer. Ten percent of the profit goes to the charitable projects of the Future Wings Foundation, which focuses on the holistic personal development of children and adolescents.
For the third time, TGW is distributing a dual employee participation of 4.1 million euros for the completed financial year. In the spirit of transparency and fairness, all employees receive the same base amount: regardless of their function and whether they work in Austria, China, or the USA.
The Numbers at a Glance
TGW Welcomes More Than 400 New Employees
TGW has grown by around 250 employees in the completed financial year. The intralogistics specialist continues this growth trend in the current financial year and is primarily looking for employees in the areas of software, control, and project management. Harald Schröpf emphasizes: “Well-trained, motivated employees are the foundation of our success, especially in a dynamic and innovation-driven industry like intralogistics. To successfully implement our growth strategy, we plan to grow by more than 400 employees in the current financial year – thus surpassing the 4,000 mark.”
