Emons Moves to a New Logistics Facility in the Brno Region

The logistics service provider Emons has moved to a new logistics facility at its location in Brno, Czech Republic. In Blučina, close to the D2 motorway, a total of 4,500 square meters are available for freight handling and logistics activities. Of this, 2,000 m² is allocated to a modular high-bay warehouse with a hall height of 9.5 m.

(Cologne/Blučina) Emons has relocated to a newly built facility in Brno. Blučina is conveniently located just 15 km from the previous warehouse, along the D2 motorway towards Bratislava. A total of 4,500 m² is now available for the freight handling of general cargo and logistics activities. 2,000 m² is dedicated to a modular high-bay system with a height of 9.5 m. The flexible shelves from a German quality manufacturer are already successfully in use at several logistics locations of Emons. The warehouse is equipped with ten gates, an additional seven-meter-wide covered gate for long goods, and a loading ramp. Approximately 350 m² of office space is available for administration.

Goods are Monitored Nonstop

With this facility, Emons sets new standards in the Czech Republic. The hall and all goods are monitored nonstop by camera and centralized security systems. Generous skylights allow daylight to enter, saving a lot of energy. The paved traffic areas provide ample space, even allowing the long gigaliner, which serves Blučina as part of the line services, to dock in one go. Emons operates its own network in the Czech Republic with eight general cargo locations that operate nationally, as part of the European network, and globally. Due to the positive development of the Czech locations, further relocations to larger facilities are planned for this year. The logistics warehouse is partially occupied with existing business and still has space for new customers. Thus, Emons is also expanding its logistics activities in the Czech Republic.
