Jul 29, 2020 at 7:03 AMAt ELVIS, European Cargo Alliance of International Forwarders, 20 partners are honored for their ten years of membership. The stable alliance structure is an important success factor. The ceremonial honor has to be postponed due to Corona-related reasons.
(Alzenau) The European Cargo Alliance of International Forwarders AG, short ELVIS, honors 20 partner companies for ten years of membership in the alliance. The alliance has had to forgo a ceremonial personal honor for the jubilee members due to Corona until now. However, this should be made up for as soon as possible.
“Together strong – this idea is the foundation of the European Cargo Alliance of International Forwarders AG. Just as important as reliable cohesion is continuity. Therefore, we at ELVIS are particularly pleased that numerous partners have been part of our alliance for many years,” says Jochen Eschborn, board member of the European Cargo Alliance of International Forwarders AG.
Membership Considered for a Long Time at the Beginning
This year, there are even 20 partner companies celebrating their ten-year membership with ELVIS. Among them is MEYER-JUMBO Logistics GmbH & Co. KG from Porta Westfalica. Bernd Watermann is the managing partner of the company and recalls: “Ten years ago, we discussed internally for a long time whether a membership with ELVIS would be beneficial for us not only strategically but also economically. This skepticism quickly vanished when we received the first figures after just a few days.” Today, the logistics specialist contributes to many groups and commissions of the alliance and is one of the major contributors to the ELVIS partial load network. “Our customers appreciate this very much. Because the loading quality is consistently high, which is not least due to the exceptionally low damage rate,” says Watermann.
Also among the jubilee members is Gödecke Eurotrans GmbH from Lübeck. Matthias Gödecke, managing partner of the logistics service provider, sees another advantage in ELVIS membership: “We were and are a relatively small logistics service provider. Therefore, ten years ago, we began searching for a cooperation that would provide us access to services that we cannot offer alone.” Even if not all expectations have been met 100 percent, the company today benefits enormously from offers and services such as the partial load network or the alliance’s marketing. Additionally, the network of ELVIS partners that has grown over the years is helpful in daily business.
