Three low-lift and one high-lift truck as a donation are intended to facilitate the future work of the Swiss Food Bank in distributing goods. The Swiss Food Bank operates a total of twelve distribution points.
(Dietikon/Basel) The year 2020 shows the world how suddenly everything can change. The Corona crisis has also highlighted the importance of logistics, the strength of Linde Material Handling Switzerland AG. Especially in this time, we want to support the valuable work of the Swiss Food Bank so that people affected by poverty have access to necessary food supplies.
The biggest crisis since World War II has shaken the world, and in Switzerland, people have been shown how quickly life can change. 8.2 percent of the Swiss population were already living below the official poverty line before this. Especially now, we must not forget these people. The gap between abundance and scarcity must be bridged quickly and easily.
Donation to Facilitate Work
Ten years ago, Linde Material Handling Switzerland AG made a donation to the Swiss Food Bank and instead waived customer Christmas gifts. During the lockdown, the work at the Basel location faced particularly challenging circumstances. There was more and more work, and the opportunity to obtain flawless food reached an enormous scale. A donation of one Linde ML10 (high-lift truck) and three Linde M25 (low-lift trucks) simplifies the distribution to the 12 distribution points in Switzerland and enables smooth maneuvering of the food.
