Jun 20, 2020 at 6:17 PMThe Swiss retailer Coop consolidates its three previous online platforms Coop.ch, Coop@home, and Mondovino into Coop.ch. This creates an omni-channel platform with a holistic shopping experience for customers, which is also linked to the physical stores.
(Basel) To further enhance the shopping experience, Coop launches the omni-channel platform Coop.ch. The new website merges the existing online presences of Coop@home, Coop.ch, and Mondovino. Customers benefit from a unified platform where not only can the entire shopping be done conveniently and easily, but also related recipes and extensive information about each product are available.
From now on, customers will find on the new omni-channel platform www.coop.ch not only the weekly offers and collection campaigns but also the comprehensive online shop that replaces the previous websites Coop@home and Mondovino. The new platform allows for quick, easy, and convenient handling of the entire shopping process and connects brick-and-mortar retail with the online shop. At the same time, the new Coop app is launched, which meets the mobile demands of today and combines the previous apps.
“With the new omni-channel platform, we are revolutionizing our online presence,” says Philippe Huwyler, head of Coop.ch. “Our customers can now find our offers, from groceries to wine to recipes and information, all in one central location.”
Perfect Connection Between Brick-and-Mortar Retail and Online Shop
At the heart of Coop’s new omni-channel presence is the holistic shopping experience, from planning to purchase. For example, a shopping list can now be created and retrieved in-store via the new Coop app. The availability of all products and promotions in the desired stores is now displayed in real-time. Last but not least, customers can connect the new platform with their Supercard account and thus take advantage of all the benefits of the extensive customer program.
Comprehensive Information on Every Product
In developing the platform, Coop benefited from its long-standing experience in online grocery retail. Proven features, such as the nutritional information of a product, have been retained – new, previously missing areas have been integrated. Thus, not only was the merging of groceries and wine a central criterion, but also the integration of extensive information on each product. When searching for an item, recipes and knowledge pages are now also displayed, and the further used products of a recipe can be directly added to the shopping cart.
