India: The Great Growth Market for Logistics and Supply Chain
Jun 15, 2020 at 8:00 AMLogistics and Transport Associations Demand Fairness Among Market Participants
Jun 16, 2020 at 7:00 AMThe Sanifair facilities at the highway rest areas have returned to normal operation as of yesterday. With the Brummi Card, BGL members still receive free access to toilets and showers. This is a collaboration between BGL and Tank & Rast.
(Bonn) The initiative that has been running for about 15 weeks, during which the sanitary facilities of Sanifair and the long-distance driver showers at the Tank & Rast locations on the highway were accessible free of charge, is coming to an end and Sanifair is returning to normal operation.
Action Extended by Three Months
For the truck drivers of the member companies of BGL, however, everything will remain the same for another three months. To thank them for their dedicated work, Tank & Rast and the Federal Association of Goods Transport, Logistics and Waste Disposal e.V. (BGL) have decided to extend the existing cooperation until September 15, 2020.
As part of this cooperation, drivers from the approximately 7,000 member companies of the BGL state associations and member organizations will continue to receive free access to the SANIFAIR facilities along the highways and to the long-distance driver showers upon presentation of their new membership card.
During the peak of the Corona pandemic, Tank & Rast made the Sanifair facilities, including the long-distance driver showers, accessible to everyone free of charge, demonstrating social responsibility. The situation has since improved nationwide, and people have found a new normal.
To maintain the high quality standard, the usual conditions apply again in the Sanifair facilities on the highway: guests pay a fee of up to 70 cents. As usual, paying guests receive a value voucher of 50 cents. Baby changing facilities and disabled toilets are, of course, free to use. Small children also have free entry through a special children’s access.
The free “Brummi Hotline” is still available at the phone number 0800 9 555 777 (or via email at kundenservice@tank.rast.de). Here, long-distance drivers can report if they did not find the promised service at a location.
