Jun 9, 2020 at 7:34 AMLinz Airport and the GrowNOW Group are pleased to announce the opening of the first German-speaking Air Freight Academy starting in September 2020 in the training rooms of Linz Airport GesmbH.
(Linz) Experts will teach 13 different air freight courses with a total of 123 training days in the 2020 and 2021 training plan covering topics such as basics, products, safety, sales and customer service, quality, handling, environment, and process improvement. Innovative and practice-oriented learning concepts, developed specifically for the logistics and loading industry, form the foundation of the first German-speaking air freight academy. Linz Airport offers a unique opportunity during the courses to learn about the processes directly in the air freight warehouse in a hands-on and practical manner.
Especially in times of crisis, the importance of air freight transport increases, representing vital, efficient, and effective supply lines. This will also be reflected in an increased demand for learning and training in air freight across the entire German-speaking region in the coming years.
Norbert Draskovits, Managing Director of Linz Airport: “Over the years, we have developed into Austria’s largest regional cargo airport, impressing our customers with flexibility and high service quality. We are very pleased about the collaboration in the training sector with the GrowNOW Group and the decision to establish Linz as the central location for the first German-speaking air freight academy. This underscores the significance and competence of Linz Airport in terms of air freight.”
Roland Zistler, Managing Director of GrowNOW Group: “We are proud to offer our many years of experience in the development and teaching of air freight training now also in German to the entire German-speaking air freight market. Linz Airport, located in an excellent transport position between Munich and Vienna, with direct flights to Frankfurt and Düsseldorf, is the ideal place and best partner for our air freight academy.”
