May 25, 2020 at 8:52 AMThe intralogistics expert viastore Systems from Stuttgart has appointed Thomas Hibinger as the new COO in May. Hibinger is transitioning from thyssenkrupp System Engineering to viastore.
(Stuttgart) Thomas Hibinger has been the new COO of the intralogistics expert viastore SYSTEMS in Stuttgart since May 2020. In this role, the 41-year-old mechanical engineer will lead the operational business of the system integrator internationally and will be responsible for sales, implementation, service, and the manufacturing of the storage and retrieval systems. Until now, Hibinger was COO of thyssenkrupp System Engineering. “We are very pleased to have been able to attract such a professional in international plant engineering,” says Philipp Hahn-Woernle, CEO of the viastore GROUP. “With his hands-on approach, he fits very well with us.” Thomas Hibinger, married and father of three children, started his career 16 years ago at the plant manufacturer Eisenmann after studying mechanical engineering with a focus on production technology at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. There, after various positions, including in the USA and China, he led global project management in the automotive sector and was last responsible as Vice-President Sales for international sales in this area before moving to thyssenkrupp System Engineering as COO. His goal is to align viastore SYSTEMS even more internationally with customer needs and to enhance the competitive advantage of customers through efficient material flows in logistics and production. “The conditions for this are excellent at viastore as a family-owned company: short decision-making paths, here you can make a difference, and the team has enormous expertise,” explains Hibinger.
