Mar 20, 2020 at 10:23 AMnox NachtExpress aims to contribute to rethinking the transition between deliverer and recipient through personal consultation and the website contactless-logistics.de. The goal: To limit the spread of the coronavirus SARS CoV2.
(Langenfeld, 20.03.2020) Current events are also presenting logistics with new, unforeseen challenges. To protect people and break the chain of infection, processes need to be rethought. This includes the receipt of goods shipments.
“Deliverers who deliver spare parts or consumables come into contact with a variety of people during their delivery tours. Each individual can be infectious without knowing it and can infect others. This makes the deliverer, who responsibly and prudently does his job, a risk factor, even if he does not want to be or can do much about it. We can only influence this by avoiding personal contact between the recipient and the deliverer – just as we have been implementing receipt-free delivery in NachtExpress for over 55 years,” says Donald Pilz, CEO of nox NachtExpress.
Own Website for Contactless Logistics In light of the current situation, nox NachtExpress has decided to share its expertise on contactless delivery and support companies during these challenging times. The first source of information is the website www.kontaktlose-logistik.de. Here, interested parties can find an initial overview and take a quick test for the implementation of contactless logistics. Further informational materials, such as a white paper, are also planned.
“The situation is very dynamic and is continuously changing. The website adapts to this dynamism and grows with it,” says Yvonne Kröpelin, Marketing Manager at nox NachtExpress. “We implemented the idea extremely quickly. Only a few days passed between the creation of the concept and the launch of the site. When you consider the development of events and the rapidly rising infection curve, it becomes clear that there is no time to lose. Therefore, it was important for us to act quickly.”
